A space where cultures quietly meet. Created in collaboration with de Gournay and unveiled at the Nada Debs Boutique in Alserkal Avenue, Ochaya Majlis reimagines the majlis as a contemporary teahouse. Hand-embroidered plum blossoms frame the structure, while gilded hand-painted Portobello wallpaper glows softly from within. Carved wood, mother-of-pearl inlay, and geometric patterns by Studio Nada Debs unfold within a setting shaped by crattsmanship, drawing on the intimacy of Japanese tea culture and the gathering rituals of the Middle Eastern majlis.
