About the Collection

The Arabesque Collection reinterprets a traditional Middle Eastern motif that has historically appeared in architecture but was rarely translated into furniture. Each piece begins with a solid wooden form that artisans hand carve or hand perforate using the signature Arabesque pattern first introduced in the early Nada Debs armchairs. The difficulty of carving these motifs across curved surfaces makes each piece a technical achievement grounded in deep material understanding. This collection reflects the studio’s ongoing exploration of cultural identity through craft. By bringing an architectural pattern into contemporary furniture, the work creates a quiet dialogue between heritage and modernity while highlighting the emotional presence of handmade detail. The pieces are light, airy, and sculptural, allowing the perforations to cast gentle shadows that shift with the environment.
