Resin Inlay

Resin inlay is a distinctive technique where materials such as mother-of-pearl, stainless steel, or brass appear suspended within a field of resin, giving the illusion of floating geometry. Artisans carefully lay each element by hand onto a flat plexiglass surface, arranging them in precise, repetitive patterns. Resin is then poured slowly over the layout, hardening into a seamless, polished surface that encapsulates the materials beneath. This approach first emerged from Nada Debs’ desire to transform traditional inlay into something unexpected. By working with noble materials in this new context, she reimagined the craft as a celebration of pattern, materiality, and precision—rooted in tradition, yet firmly belonging to the now.
